Lowsonford Extension, Veranda and Staircase

Jigsaw Construction has recently completed an extension at a large, detached property in Lowsonford, Warwickshire. We built a rear flat roof extension and veranda. Our carpentry skill was put to good use as we laid oak flooring, crafted and installed a solid oak kitchen, and made new oak stairs in the main house.

The property is listed and therefore needed traditional lime plaster in existing areas. Modern materials, such as zinc on the vaulted roof and fibreglass on the flat roof worked well in the extended area, in contrast to the character of the building.

Using modern materials and techniques while respecting an older property’s character can be complicated, but we have the skills and experience to make it a success.
